Masone Mannu
The Masone Mannu estate is located in the Monti area, 13 km from Olbia towards Sassari, set in an exceptionally beautiful landscape of cork oaks, rivers, lakes and Mediterranean macchia. The ancient name "Masone Mannu" means "great estate", which extends over more than 100 hectares, of which around 45 are planted with vines.
Since 2018 the estate has been the subject of an important development project led by Giordano Emendatori, who is also the owner of the Tenuta Biodinamica Mara in Romagna. In our vineyards we mainly grow Gallura's most important grape variety: Vermentino. The varieties Cannonau, Carignano as well as Bovale Sardo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon complete our range of cultivated wines.
Limiting human intervention to a minimum is one of the concepts of biodynamic agriculture that we have fully embraced.
We grow the vines according to the biodynamic calendar, following the phases of the moon and the positions of the planets, and instead of fertiliser we treat the soil with preparations of plant and animal origin. We seek no shortcuts: biodynamic cultivation uses no synthetic substances or oenological correctives. For us the rhythm is set by the soil and the stars. After careful tasting we bottle only the best wine.
