2. General

We process personal data only to the extent necessary and on the basis of the GDPR and the German TDDDG. The applicable legal basis is stated with each processing activity.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by an external provider (Plesk environment): Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in Germany; hosting involves no transfer to a third country. When the pages are accessed, the server automatically collects so-called server log files transmitted by your browser (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type and operating system). This serves the secure and stable operation of the website.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).
Retention: log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the secure operation of the website.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

Transmission is encrypted (SSL/TLS).

4. Contact form

If you send us an inquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, subject, message, and any further details you voluntarily provide) in order to handle your inquiry. Delivery is by email (SMTP) to our mailbox. You also receive an automatic acknowledgement by email.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).
Retention: until your inquiry has been fully handled; beyond that only where commercial or tax retention obligations apply (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).

5. Cookies and consent

On your first visit, a consent banner is shown. Without your consent, only technically necessary processing takes place; statistics and analytics services are loaded only after your explicit consent. Your consent decision is stored locally in your browser (local storage). You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time with effect for the future via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Legal basis for storing or reading information on your device: § 25 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

6. Web analytics: Google Analytics 4

After your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland); the parent company is Google LLC, USA. Google Analytics uses technologies that enable analysis of website use (e.g. pages viewed, approximate region, device used). A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out; the basis for this is the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified.

Google Analytics is not loaded before consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 5).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

7. Web analytics: Stordia

After your consent, we also use an analytics tool by Stordia (owner: Pantelis Anadolis, Kurstr. 10, 13585 Berlin, Germany), which collects anonymized or pseudonymous usage data for reach and usage analysis. This service is also loaded only after your explicit consent.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Where Stordia acts as a processor, an agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

8. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server (self-hosted). No data is transmitted to third parties (e.g. Google Fonts) for this purpose.

9. On-site search

The search function runs entirely in your browser (client-side). Your search input is not transmitted to or stored on our server.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and a right to object (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

11. Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the authority responsible for us:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Alt-Moabit 59–61
10555 Berlin
www.datenschutz-berlin.de

12. Changes

We will update this privacy policy as soon as the data processing changes.
