Cascina Del Colle
Since 1997 · organic
In a land where the harshness of the mountains meets the sweetness of the sea, the Cascina Del Colle estate was born. The second generation of leading winemakers runs the business, which was founded 60 years ago. The sight of full, sunny vineyards and lush olive groves in the south of the estate, about three hundred metres above sea level, touches every member of the family.
Harsh winters and hot summers bring forth wonderful grapes every year, which — together with the love and passion for this land — find their expression in a hand-crafted wine that is bottled in hand-numbered bottles.
To this day the estate owns 30 hectares of its own vineyards, all farmed organically and comprising native grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Pecorino, Trebbiano and Passerina as well as international varieties such as Merlot, Syrah and Sauvignon.
With a production of around 300,000 bottles, the estate uses exclusively vines grown on its own land in the area of Villamagna, a region with a great vocation for viticulture by virtue of its natural setting.
